$220 for pensions, $250 standard, this is for standard tuning. For pianos that are old, or not tuning for many years, needing a pitch raise, the price is up to $300 for tuning, as this takes longer to tune, and will often require a pitch adjustment. It is important to note, that this excludes repairs (if needed).
A pitch raise is needed when a piano is severely out of tune.
– When a piano is moved, it can fall out of tune faster.
– New pianos, (pianos with new strings), will go out of tune relatively quickly. New pianos should be tuned 3-4 times in the first year of ownership. If a new piano is not well maintained it may need a pitch raise after just 2 years of ownership.
– Weather and environment can also affect the pianos tuning.
If your piano has not been tuned for 3 years, I recommend booking a pitch raise service. This ensures that we allow enough time to bring out the best in your piano. If your piano did not need a pitch raise, we charge the lower rate.
If you recently purchased or moved a piano, I highly recommend letting the piano acclimatise to its new location before it is tuned. The piano should be in its new location at least 2 weeks, (3-4 weeks preferred), before it is tuned.
Currently, our booking system lets you book up to 2 months in advance. I recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure availability.
