Be it a metronome, piano books, or other, everyone loves to put things on top of the piano.
Without any protective covering, there is a risk of scratching the piano.
One way to protect the top of your piano is to buy something called a “table runner”.
There are plenty of stylish options and these can be readily purchased from shops like kmart, bigw, or online.
While you still need to take care not to damage the piano, a table runner provides a small level of protection, and will reduce (but may not eliminate), the risk of scratches to the top of the piano.
A specialised piano cover can provide better protection for the piano.
